Just Another Break In The Wall

So the one thing I miss about writing is world building. It’s actually my favorite part of the writing process, and I have been tinkering with a world building making a secret society or underground of witches (which is gender neutral in my world) called Witchkind. I had the vision of a piece connected with my Witchkind world. And to me, Stiles is connected to this world (plot bunny ahoy)! And then I found the model for his body, and it evolved into a rocker/glam  rock kind of feel. The hardest part is getting the background just right. This piece was so difficult, with so many, many pieces. I really love the end result though.

If I thought my last photo manipulation composition was hard, but boy this one right here brought me to tears and to near break down. I had to literally quit for the night, and start the next day. However, all the pain, tears, and headdesking was all worth it.  It turned out lovely, and more awesome than I can imagine. I think almost everything in this piece is photo manipulated.

I did this because Derek Hale will forever be my alpha *grins*. This is primarily a Facebook banner and icon set, although both can be used for other social networks as well. There is also a plain version with no text on it in the pack as well. You can download this pack here.

Note: I did promise my readers a collage/storyboard for the posters that I did earlier this week. This is the first in a series of storyboards that I will be doing.

Summary:  One day after a heated argument, Derek kicks Stiles out of his pack.  A few weeks later, Stiles is moping around the house when his father is fed up and directs him to clean out the attic because they are selling their old stuff to Police Charity Bazaar.  Stiles reluctantly agrees, and as he cleans up the attic he literally stumbles upon his mother’s hope box.  The same hope box that Stiles remembers that his mother telling him to never open it.  In a fit of curiosity, Stiles opens the box and finds among the old family photos and junk a family grimiore.  Turns out, that his dearly departed mother was a witch. In fact, he is the last remaining descendant of a family of witches. Stiles ends up reciting a spell, and finds that his spell worked.  Stiles is determined to be a witch and to show the pack who that he’s far from being useless.

So fresh off all the awesome praise and love for my other book covers, I decided to move on to another favorite sterek story, “Hope Is Thing With Feathers” by ShanaStoryteller. I did two book covers for this one a more sterek verison which what you see here, and one that is more professional.

Since my first poster that did for my favorite story of Kouri Arashi’s (gingersnapwolves) series ‘The Boy In Red’ got so much love from my fellow fans, I decided to follow that  up with a cover for the first story in the series, ‘Coming Undone’. I don’t know if I will do more covers for the rest of the series (They are like 15 fics so that is a heavy undertaking).  Anyway, I hope you enjoy this art and feel free to follow me here on tumblr or my site to keep up with further updates!.

I actually got permission to do art for this work(and the rest of The Sum of It’s Parts Series) by @gingersnapwolves (Kouri Arashi) when I was working under another pseudonym. However, I really didn’t like the result and I wanted to give her something that was worthy of her awesome series.
